2022 Winter ShootOut 3 on 3 Pond Hockey Tournament for Charity

Announcing the First Annual 2022 Winter ShootOut in Saskatoon

The goal of the Winter ShootOut Pond Hockey Tournament is to raise funds for several Saskatoon non-profits

Why This Event?

Canadian Progress Clubs have organized charity pond hockey tournaments since 2010, raising money for local children’s charities. Saskatoon Progress Club member,  Weston Fader, is the event chair to launch the 1st Progress Winter Shootout right here in Saskatoon.  Weston has an extensive hockey background having played both Major Junior and University hockey, he has been involved in the planning and execution of these events since 2015, including two previous events in Edmonton Alberta.

“I am excited to bring this event to Saskatoon in 2022! In true Canadian fashion, 40 teams will compete in a one-day tournament to be crowned the Saskatoon Winter Shootout champions!  The day includes a  beer garden on ice, heated tents, live entertainment, and several family-friendly events for everyone to come out and enjoy a Canadian day on the pond.”
