Lucky Bastards

LB’s journey began where most great ideas do…over drinks! In 2010, Cary, Michael and Lacey finally had an opportunity to catch up with each other after a holiday. Maybe it was the cocktails or just the intrigue of a new adventure, but the three friends d ecided to take a leap and so began ‘The longer than expected distillery’.

BUILDING THE FIRST DISTILLERY TO OPERATE IN SASKATOON SINCE PROHIBITION presented itself with many challenges and roadblocks, where it seemed every day would cost another $1,000. Hours were spent brainstorming, researching, and creating recipes for future products. It pains them to think of the gallons of gin dumped down the drain before they got the perfect combination of botanicals. With the goal of creating Saskatoon’s first single malt in mind (a minimum of 3 years to age), they soon realized that vodka was going to have to pay the bills. Thus, Lucky Bastard Vodka was born!

Metric Design

Tamara Bowman’s interior design career began in 2000. Creating spaces with clients is a passion, however, she noticed a disconnect in the industry. Her ambition to produce the best overall experience for her clients felt challenged by the products available, the running about to make selections, and the friction between suppliers, sub-trades, designers, and contractors.

When Tamara shifted to providing the role of the designer and project manager, her client’s experience changed completely, blooming the concept of Metric Design.

Bringing together quality brands combined with professionals makes the design-build process quicker, simpler, less stressful, and fun, while providing packaged projects under one roof. Clients love creating their dream projects alongside their design and contracting team; selecting materials; reviewing drawings in one location; coffee in hand; and confidence in knowing their space will look and feel incredible.

Maximum Training

Maximum Training was established April 2001, with a truck and an idea of providing the highest quality training for the trucking industry, and the name was born … Maximum Training for the Trucking Industry.

The largest contributing factor to their success is that the majority of their clients come from referrals, and Maximum is very proud of that.

Maximum Training is building a family and a successful business that allows individuals to broaden their horizons and grow as professional drivers.

Canadiana Developments Ltd.

Expressions Salon & Spa

Expressions Salon & Spa was established in 2011 by Eleanor Tarasoff who always admired the beauty industry and wanted to bring high quality hair and esthetics services to Saskatoon. Although Expressions started out as a hair salon, when Eleanor’s daughter Candace received her Esthetic diplom, Tara saw the perfect opportunity to include another beauty element to her, family owned business. Changing locations to 33rd Street near Idylwyld inspired a complete transformation of an old bank building allowing Expressions to showcase its true colors with a beautifully decorated and tranquil environment. The stunning new Salon and Spa grew in quantity of services and gained a family of staff members who adore the business and their customers.

Let Expressions pamper, relax and refresh your look today !

Smiling faces of their customers are what makes their jobs never feel like work.
